Senior Tax and Accounting Advisor

At Baker & Company, we look to create an atmosphere that allows you to become all you were created to be. The nature of our office makes it imperative that we recruit individuals with impact; the kind of people who will make a difference the moment they arrive and who will flourish in our unique and rewarding environment.

You don't have to work at a huge firm to get most out of your career. We've created an environment that allows the self starter to self start. Our office is a place where you can focus on what is most important to you, a place where you can turn your existing experience into a self managed client base as rapidly as possible. And we don't believe you have to work hundreds of hours a month to do it either.

Recently Intuit (the developers of Lacerte and QuickBooks) came to visit our firm to discuss practice management and how our firm operates. We are one of a handful of firms selected to consult with them on their new practice management product. Intuit's lead consultant on this new product made this comment to us, "Over the past couple of years I have been in literally hundreds of accounting offices across the country gathering information on what firms need to run their practice" and that our office was "easily one of the top 5 office environments I have ever seen." As if that wasn't enough, he made that comment as we were touring our new location and added "and your new location blows your old office away."

It only takes a second to see if a relaxed atmosphere with a courtyard, a pool table, a ‘coffee shop’ where you can sit in a comfortable chair and check your email is right for you. If a completely wireless and paperless environment free of clutter and chaos sounds enticing. And if having an office space with a gym and two separate full baths, so you can work out, shower, walk upstairs to your office and go to work is an ideal environment for supporting healthy mind, body and profession… this might just be the office for you.

Like all CPAs, we work a lot, of that there is no doubt. We do taxes and the nature of all those deadlines make some times harder than others. However, we feel confident that we work smarter and therefore much less than the environment you are currently in. Additionally, we are incredibly well positioned for growth. Revenues are up. We are growing in a bad economy. Our system is different than everyone else and we have discovered that different works. The resumes we received describe layoffs, promotion freezes and therefore a depressed employee.

If this sounds like something you are interested in and you meet the following requirements, please feel free to contact us directly and begin the process.

  • Willing to think and step outside the box, but with integrity
